Lessons for the Hedgehog

CSSP looks at the Hedgehog Concept, using Dell Computers as an example. He examines what the concept is and what limitations there are for the concept. Despite Dell's huge success in the 1990's their stock price today is roughly what it was in 2002. The conclusion is that while your company may enjoy productive growth made possible by the Hedgehog Concept, you need to be aware of its limitations and expend some planning resources on developing those ideas that will sustain your growth beyond your current business model.
